Delete account on CHOYS
CHOYS is committed to ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and providing users with the ability to temporarily deactivate or permanently delete their accounts.
We’ve outlined how users and admins can delete their accounts on the CHOYS app. Let’s start by understanding what happens when accounts are deleted.
Understanding Account Deletion on CHOYS
- Account deletion is permanent— once deleted, accounts cannot be recovered.
- The primary owner/administrator controls data for their organisation. This data includes all personal information including full names, email addresses, job titles, and birth dates, etc.
- Accounts can be deleted once the deletion request is verified by the primary owner/administrator.
What is Personal Information?
Here’s what’s included in the employee data on the CHOYS app:
- Full name
- Job title
- Birth date
- Email address
- CHOYS Profile information
Upon completion of the account deletion, the above information will be deleted by the primary owner/administrator.
How to Delete Account on CHOYS?
The following process outlines how users can request the deletion of their account information.
Step 1: Go to 'Manage Your Account'
- Go to your profile and select settings on the top right.
- Select 'Manage Your Account'.
- Select 'Delete Account'.
Step 2: Wait for Primary Owner's Approval
- Once you've selected "Delete Account," you will receive an email from help@getchoys.com starting your account deletion process.
- CHOYS will submit your deletion request to the primary owner/administrator for approval.
- The primary owner/administrator will then delete your account permanently.
*All personal information, including full name, email address, and other relevant details, will be permanently deleted.
Step 3: Receive Email Confirmation
- You will receive an email confirmation once your account is deleted.
